Rev. Windle Tucker, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, began his extensive ministry experience in Madera, California and later to Fresno, California and Modesto, California. After serving faithfully in his assignments, Rev. Tucker was assigned to Denver, Colorado where he served as pastor for 7 years and was a member of the Ministerial Alliance.
After having served in Denver, Rev. Tucker was transferred to his home town of Phoenix, Arizona where he started the Fisher Chapel AME Zion Church. From Fisher Chapel, Rev. Tucker was transferred to Los Angeles, California where he served as the Pastor to the oldest historical AME Zion church in the Los Angeles area. While serving there, the church suffered through an arson fire. Under his pastorate, the church went through a rebuilding process. After the completion of the rebuilding process, Rev. Tucker was transferred to Oakland, California where he later retired from the ministry after serving 40 plus years.
Recently Rev. Tucker came out of retirement and started a new church plant in Buckeye, Arizona where he now serves as the pastor of Western Metropolitan AME Zion Church. Rev. Tucker attended Fresno City College, and the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. He is currently taking correspondence courses at Yale University.
Rev. Windle Tucker met and fell in love with his childhood sweetheart, Olivia Grider, whom he met in junior high school in Fresno, California. They married shortly after high school and began their family with 3 wonderfully blessed daughters. They are also blessed with 3 grandchildren. Rev. Windle Tucker and Sister Olivia Tucker have been married for 54 years and both are great examples of what true love. Always placing God first, having a strong foundation, and showing Godly love to one another and others is what keeps them strong.
